Yale PBS4  British Standard High Security Escape Nightlatch

The Yale PBS4 Nightlatch is designed to replace rim latch locks, and is available with a 40mm backset (door edge to centre of cylinder) to upgrade standard nighlatches. Ideally suited to be fitted on solid  doors, as the lock has been designed with an ergonomic non locking handle for emergency escape at all items (ideal for flats). The main lock bolt is automatically deadlocked when the door is closed, preventing the main bolt being retracted by a credit card, the inside handle operating the latch bolt at all times. The bolt can be held in the withdrawn position (only) with the use of the snib feature.
